The first lunar eclipse in 2020 can be observed in Russia on the night of January 11.
It will last more than four hours, from 20:08 Moscow time on January 10 to 00:12 on the 11th. The maximum phase will come at 22:10, according to the Moscow Planetarium.
The moon will enter only at the half-moon of the Earth and therefore will not acquire a reddish hue. But, if the weather is clear, astronomy lovers will see a darkening of the lower (southern) edge of the lunar disk.
